Ποσειδώνας

Etymology: From Ancient Greek Ποσειδῶν (Poseidôn), the god of the sea, earthquakes, and horses in Greek mythology. The etymology is debated, but may derive from πόσις (pósis, 'husband, lord') + δᾶ (dâ, 'earth'), thus 'lord of the earth' or 'husband of the earth', reflecting his early association with earthquakes before becoming primarily associated with the sea. In Roman mythology, he was identified with Neptune.
